I HEARD

Whenever I stop to feed on her eyes
I can’t help but grow cold
smile filing out her facial wrinkled lines
Can knock dead the soul

I remember
she was young and pure
Born black and tender.
The sensation her trend caused had no cure

Harmlessly flamed like some divine fire
Was to be the pioneer of her family pride
Provided with all her heart desired
Lavished with everything she lacked

Indeed She was born a princess
Though daddy owned no palace
The life given to her was priceless
Blessed and had no reason to bred a facade

Ripe by eighteen
When unizik embraced her with a warm gesture.
To have her medically enlightened
We all hoped one day to call her “doctor”

And so she left
The castle which from birth had been her sanctuary
To entirely a strange den
Where her path she need to thread on carefully

for this water which she sets sail on
Is threaded upon by a million lords
this promise land, this very hut
Harbors not only professors of medicine but of thieves and sluts

But so I heard….
So I heard from tochukwu

That as time goes
Darkness started to encroach
Like a fertile land she greened with weed
Which germinated from the hunger of this virgin scene

she was left with nothing but the voices
Which in her head noises
No guide, daddy was no more around
So solely she had to pace the track down

Choices were laid
Friends were made
She thought all that smiles
GOD did bless with a light heart

No doubt she was of the shallow mind
never had been in the cold that far
So she mingled with the campus girls
That, all day, sits and awaits the party bell

And negatively she was influenced
That Education drifted away from her mental stance
slowly she was dancing away into doom
As they all but lied on taking her to the moon

so I heard
and like a waterfall cried

That on september 9 2011
The night evil whistled her miles away from heaven
The night shadows came and engulfed her
The point where she could never go back

The night that turned the sweetness of wine sour
How could she have been blind to the red cream on the dance floor
Where she clubbed with this familiar stranger
Whom with a smiling eyes was executing his evil agenda

They partied deep into the dark
When the speaking opium that kept the moment breathing were almost out
they mounted there journey back home
Where she was forcefully raped and dumped some acres from home

She might had screamed
But the only person that answered was silent
She lost her grip on this realm
she never made it back on her right sense

She was found inside the pool of the morning rays
Her awful nudity greeting every eyes that aired by
Mentally lamed
That Till today she is but called ebere the mad woman.
